You’ll be primarily office-based with site visits as required, benefiting from a flexible and supportive working culture. The office environment is relaxed yet professional, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, and other construction specialists.
The Role
You will work closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor on a range of earthworks projects, ensuring budgets are accurate, risks are managed, and projects are delivered profitably and efficiently. Projects are typically JCT-based, short duration, and fast-paced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple projects of varying value and complexity
- Procuring subcontract works in line with programme and target budgets
- Managing client and subcontractor accounts
- Monitoring programme performance, progress, and costs weekly
- Managing change control processes
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Financial reporting and commercial performance analysis
- Preparing and submitting monthly payment applications
- Following company commercial and operational procedures

Who They’re Looking For
You’ll be a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor with experience in earthworks, groundworks, or civil engineering environments.
Ideal Experience & Skills:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or working towards)
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Confident communicator able to build relationships at all levels
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive mindset
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Full UK Driving Licence
