Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Draftsperson / Project Designer to their established Drawing Office team.
The Opportunity:
You will join a collaborative in-house design team consisting of a Design Director, Design Manager, and several Project Designers, working closely with Buying, Commercial, and Contracts teams in a truly team-focused environment.
This role would suit someone with 5+ years’ experience in roofing and cladding who is comfortable both collaborating with others and working independently to deliver high-quality design packages.
Key Responsibilities
o Produce 2D GA and detailed construction drawings
o Prepare material schedules and fabrication drawings
o Attend and contribute to design team meetings (including minute-taking)
o Attend internal handover and design review meetings
o Carry out occasional site visits
o Plan and manage workload to meet project deadlines
o Proactively gather all required technical information
o Follow established company procedures and quality standards
Skills & Experience Required
o Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
o Solid technical knowledge of roofing and cladding systems, including:
o Single-ply
o Hot melt
o Standing seam
o Built-up systems
o Composite roofing and wall systems
o Rainscreen façade experience (desirable)
o Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and Microsoft Office
o Exposure to 3D modelling (AutoCAD 3D, Revit, Rhino, or similar) is advantageous
